Experience of breathing is one of the most foundational things in life. It is life, basically. And as many things which are given to everyone, quite often goes without noticing. That's why we pay so much attention to the quality of the air we breathe today. In time when it was given, people wasted it quite fast. And recovery of the breathable atmosphere wasn't an easy task for our ancestors. Today, we don't take it for granted and the Air Propagation Plants are among the most cherished places on this planet.
It's fun that when people started producing things massively, they called their industrial facilities "plants", while this word already had literally the opposite meaning: "a living organism of the kind exemplified by trees, shrubs, herbs, grasses, ferns, and mosses, typically growing in a permanent site, absorbing water and inorganic substances through its roots, and synthesizing nutrients in its leaves by photosynthesis using the green pigment chlorophyll...". Obviously, industrial plants weren't anything like moss or trees and produced lots of nasty things. But today, the ambiguity is finally solved – Air Propagation Plants (APPs) are actually made of plants, some specific kinds of them which are the most efficient helpers in maintaining the atmosphere clean and healthy. They are not a replacement to forest and jungle of course, but do a significant part in the quick time spans, while natural resources solve some long-term issues. APPs are almost sacred to our civilization, as thanks to them we can influence weather, changing deserts to oases, tundra to steppe and (post)industrial era wastelands into living soil again...
On our transit through this terraforming area you will see several APPs in a close proximity and will visit one at the end of excurtion. Please remain seated when your travel capsule goes through acceleration phases. The rest time is yours, enjoy the views and have a nice tour!
