There were times when global warming became inevitable and a whole world needed to take action to prevent it. A new attitude to life was required. Even though it was a known fact that oil trade, mass production and unhealthy consumerism imposed by the big corporations are the reasons for the most of carbon dioxide, plastic pollution and exhaustion of fresh water, they refused to take responsibility. Instead, they started to change their image, to make "green solutions", to plant forest which they will cut lately, to gather ocean plastic which will be dumped back on a opposite shore... This money "greenwashing" continued for many decades and even seemed like a logic step to make things better. But consumerism just took another turn of the spiral – to the virtual worlds, "metaverses", with its own megamalls where you can buy all kinds of virtual things for your avatar. So even if you had enough money for your offline self, now you had to work harder to provide for a virtual life.

Eventually, it was clear that even though people started to consume less real things, hence producing less pollution, corporations continued to do everything to keep human mind occupied with the idea of owning things. Inventing more and more sophisticated and abstract products, digital emotions and perceptions, not to be even compared with the crudity of "flesh life". Exquisite neurostimulation, each purchase rewarded by the heavenly euphoria, carefully crafted hormonal cocktails provided by the virtual corporate gods... And these gods plunged into this world as well, as they had all the money to create personal paradises and upload their mind there for the eternal life. Looked like humanity reached its peak on Earth and moved to another plane. But still, there were those who needed to supply the electricity which fueled this world. By the time it was mostly solar power, as the oil ran out a while ago so corporations stopped banning solar tech development. And those who stayed "outside" were basically the maintenance workers on the 99% automated global grid, following the Sun path in the sky.

They were called "noble guardians" even though they were successors of those who came from the poorest countries (while there still was such a thing) and many of them dreamed about the virtual paradise. After a whole life of hard work and savings they even had a chance to get there, to cross the last sacramental border... Yet, some realized there's no need to put their life on an altar of a consumerist utopia, no matter how sweet its promises are. They saw that if you put technology into a different direction and сhoose cooperation instead rivalry, you can build a paradise on Earth. Everything was always there, for everyone, if distributed wisely, without need for artificial scarcity and debt to make people earn the food their whole lives. The solutions were ridiculously simple but required a major paradigm shift – from domination and "law of force" to symbiosis and mutual help. If you use soil properly, it will feed you forever. Earth wasn't meant to produce profit, as there's no limit to such thing. But Earth was always enough to produce life... So it bloomed again.

Nostalgia always goes at hand with the culture, so this new society kind of resembled the early times of capitalism, when its promises weren't so worn-out. Some late decades of 20 century probably, quite an ancient times... It wasn't about "funny imaginary numbers" anymore but people loved reconstructing the symbols of the era when future seemed bright and science was aiming to the stars instead of new ways "to control the masses". One of these symbols was the Mall. Under capitalism, it was a magnetic center of the consumerism and its main showcase. But also it was a gathering place, a community space where people meet each other. And the later was always the meaning of it.

So don't be so surprised about places like Oasis Mall Park existing right now – it's a completely modern place, only metaironically replicating the main symbol of capitalist past. We made it an extraction point for those who gather courage to leave the virtual life in the metaverses to make the transitions easier. Here you can meet with friends, spend time with the family and your beloved ones without need of having funny imaginary numbers on your credit card. You don't even need a card! Here you can find all the services needed to help your transition back – to the real world with the real Sun above it 🔆 Welcome, and enjoy your stay!
